Karen oversees Boal & Co’s business operations and manages its international and domestic corporate pension client portfolio. She has more than 20 years’ experience managing retirement benefits schemes.
Ben Hughes | Head of Pensions | Keystone Law (Isle of Man)
Having qualified in London as a pensions specialist, Ben has advised on all aspects of Isle of Man pensions law for the last 20 years. His practice covers the majority of domestic and international schemes in the Isle of Man.
Andrew Kniveton | Head of Policy and Risk | Isle of Man FSA
Andrew has been involved in a wide range of regulatory policy initiatives and has supported the risk management & information governance frameworks. He has responsibility for the Authority’s regulatory policy, enterprise risk management framework & information governance compliance.

Andrew is a Scheme Actuary and Risk transfer broker and Consultant. With a focus on broking bulk annuity transactions for DB schemes, the subsequent implementation of buy-ins and buy-outs, together with scheme wind ups, Andrew specialises in advising IOM DB occupational pension schemes.

Annemarie leads the pensions team at DQ. Her specialisms are trusts and pensions in addition to advising on international tax investigation matters involving Isle of Man structures.

As Head of the AML/CFT Supervision Division, Ashley has risen through the ranks since joining the FSC as a graduate trainee in 2007. She leads a team of officers dedicated to the AML/CFT supervision and oversight of all regulated entities and designated businesses in the Island.

As CEO of the IOM FSA since October 2021, Bettina has also held senior roles at the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, Abu Dhabi Global Market, and the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions. Her recent focus has been on automation of key processes and risk-based methodology.

Jasmine has significant FATCA/CRS and QI compliance experience with an international client base. She also works with intermediaries and investors on managing withholding tax exposure, helping with preparing and filing reclaims and managing overseas tax exposures.

John has wide ranging pensions knowledge. He is involved with Boal's GPP, SIPP, SSAS and master-trust pension products for the IOM market as well as QROPS, QNUPS and IPP solutions for individuals internationally. With 30 years' experience, he has worked in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East.

Mark has overall responsibility for Boal & Co’s personal pensions and involvement in the trusteeship of domestic corporate pensions (DB and DC). He is also a key technical/sales contact within the business for advisers, introducers and clients.
Richard Lunt | Senior Investment Consultant | Hymans Robertson
Richard is an Actuary and experienced investment advisor. His specialisms include investment portfolio construction and LDI. Richard worked for Willis Towers Watson and Aon Hewitt before joining Hymans in 2023. He qualified as an actuary in 2004.

Ros joined the Authority in 2018. Her recent focus has been on the development of the Authority’s data systems and automation, as well as updating and enhancing the Authority’s overall supervisory methodology.
